Stay the Course

Have you ever had a task you needed to complete and someone or something distracted you?  The distraction caused you to lose focus and it hindered or stopped you from completing your task.  I believe this has probably happened to everyone at some point or time in their life.  Hopefully the distraction was temporal and you actually managed to complete your task.

I have allowed myself to become distracted in the past and take me off course.  When you are in the process of performing a task for God don’t let people or circumstances distract you.  The distraction will come but it is for you to acknowledge God and let Him lead you.  When I finally realized what I had allowed to happen, I got back on track and God told me to always “Stay the Course”.  No matter how much respect you have for someone if they come to you with a message you must acknowledge God and make sure their message is from Him. 1 Corinthians 2:5 KJV “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”    I didn’t do that.  I allowed myself to be taken off course and much time was lost because I didn’t do what I know to do. Galatians 5:7 KJV “Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?”

I’ve also allowed fear to distract me and take me off course in the past as well.  There will be people that you respect and fear that can cause you to be distracted and go off course as well.  What we have to remember is that no weapon formed against us can prosper.  Isaiah 54:17a KJV“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;”  Stay the course and do what God has directed you to do for Him.  Face who or what you fear and keep moving forward, God will Bless you in your obedience and faithfulness to Him. You will feel so good when you know that you’re being obedient and pleasing God in the process.  There is no greater Joy then knowing your actions are pleasing to God.  Nehemiah 8:10d KJV “for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
